Levels of Care

 

*Hourly

The minimum hours of care is four hours (Private pay) billed hourly different from live-ins.  Rates start at $20/hour. The aide will assist in personal care needs.  These include but are not limited to eating, grooming, dressing, bathing, incontinence care, light housekeeping, medication reminders, meal preparations, and errand services.  The client will be oriented to the client’s plan of care well in advance.

*Live-Ins (Short Term/Over Night)

Live-in service is charged at a flat daily rate depending on the level of care. Rates start at $275.00.  The aide or nurse will stay overnight or a short term with the client usually less than a month.  Personnel will be oriented to the client’s daily plan of care.   Usually the personnel works intermittent for 10-12 hours a day while the client is awake. The personnel must have time for free time, sleep time, and meals in the privacy at the client’s home.  The client is responsible for providing room and board for live-in caregivers.

Level 1 Companionship  Services

  • Companion/Sitters, Home Care Aide and/or Home Health Aide

  • Offer Companionship & Conversation

  • Live-in Care/24 hour services

  • Stimulate Mental Awareness

  • Safety supervision

  • Monitor Diet and Eating

  • Help with Morning/Wake-Up

  • Shopping and errands

  • Laundry

  • Help with Restroom Use

  • Assist with Dressing & Bathing

  • Arrange Appointments

  • Organize Mail & Write Letters/Correspondence

  • Care for House Plants

  • Assist with Clothing Selection

Level 2 Personal Care Services

  • Certified Nursing Assistants and /or Home Health Aides

  • Live-In Care/24 hour care services

  • Bathing and Dressing

  • Assist with personal hygiene

  • Monitor of oxygen use

  • Transfer and ambulation

  • Medication reminders

  • Shopping and errands

  • Assist with Eating

  • Provide Grooming

  • Assist with Dressing

Special Clients:  Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Pre/Post Operative Care, Diabetic Clients, Hypertension, Congestive Heart Failure, Hospice Care, and Cardiac Patients

Level 3 Total Complete Care

  •  Need for complete/total care

  • Bedridden/Chair bound

Monthly Monitoring Care (MMC)

This service is for clients who are stable and thus we provide 1-2 hours of monitoring via the phone/person in 30 minute increments during the month.  Rates start at $50.  Professional care will be available in case of a problem and a daily plan of care can be initiated quickly.

Respite Care to Relieve Family Members

We provide short term supportive care and/or  supervision  when the primary caregiver is unavailable for a short time due to vacation, sickness, emergencies, errands, or any other reason.

Nursing Home or Hospitalized Clients

Our services can provide care beyond what the institution may provide.

Services of Specialty  (SOS) 

Caregivers will accompany the client on special social outings/activities when families/friends are unavailable.  Examples are church events, social gatherings, Dinner/Lunch Parties, Club Meetings, Sporting Events, Concerts/ Plays, Movies, etc…

Our staff will be on call for you anytime in professional/nursing dress code.

A caregiver and client personality match is done before the planned event.

Personalized attention to the small details and communicating with families/friends.

Pre-Operative and Post Operative Services

Surgery can bring depression, stress, and anxiety to the client and the family. HomeCare for the Carolinas, LLC can provide the support and care for a speedy recovery.  Our staff has knowledge with the pre and post requirements for surgical procedures.  Our staff can work with your doctor to make sure all testing is complete and help with the pre-surgical assessment usually done at the hospital.  Our director has worked personally for numerous surgeons at the largest hospital in Charlotte, NC.   We can determine the amount of care you need based on your surgery and your medical history. This may change depending on numerous factors.  Our caregivers are here to help throughout the whole process. Major surgeries require 4- 8 weeks of resting so that the body can heal.  We can help before surgery to do the small things and make sure medical equipment is delivered to your home if required by your surgeon.

  • Transportation to and from surgical site and follow-up appointments

  • Medication reminders or other assigned surgeon tasks

  • Ambulation/Transfer

  • Personal Care Services: Eating, Grooming, Dressing, Bathing, Toileting/ Incontinence Care

  • Perform housekeeping: light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, linen changes, and meal preparations

  • Errands outside of the home (Prescription pick-up, dry cleaning, etc.)

  • Pet feeding/care

  • Wound Care

  • Prepare and assist with ice/heat packs

  • Basic companionship
